Howdy all-Here we are another Wacky Wednesday-we are almost halfway through January -according to my AM radio show 92% of people that make resolutions have already quit--I am in the 8%...are you? If you are with me in the 8% what motivation!! If you are not, get back on that horse and keep trying!!
I tried a Pilates exercise program on demand this am-it was terrific but long!-I made it halfway through before my legs were quaking...and then I tried some Yoga but got my ears completely licked! ) Those silly puppies!
Am so excited about future designs-the above is the first of the 2012 Little House Needlework designs--and I love it! I stitched both the angel and one of the snowmen from the 2010 for Christmas gifts for my godmother/aunt...and I really like LHN graphs and designs! So here's the first one due in within the next few weeks...
Well, hope all of you are doing well...and thank you for your kind words about my last year's challenge--I'm now considering another challenge as I realized how many projects I stitched !!

Idiots are we!

Well, Beth and I have had some kind of day-spent hours trying to figure out why our printer wouldn't work-and you know how the techies always ask (like you're some kind of idiot) "It is plugged in, right?" And you always think,"I'm not that stupid!" Well, we proved that theory wrong-the printer had come unplugged and neither of us realized--duh!

One of my goals this year is to get a blog entry up each week-this week, I am showing a sneak peek of a design you know I will do--look at those adorable foxes!! I haven't seen any of my foxes as of late--I do usually see them come Springtime--

Have almost gotten my Inn at Fox River Mill by LH-I have changed it slightly with an additional baby fox-will get a pic up tomorrow or Fri--

Got major grief about my stitching challenge of '11--I did finish 4 of the 10 projects with 3 more close to being finished-I personally think that is fantastic-and while I did add a couple in there (also finished) I consider it a success-so now I am inspired to finish those 3 and know that the last three were not going to completed in the year 2011-too big/complicated...so look for updates on those--

Well Happy New Year and we made it! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! It certainly went quickly and here we are facing a new year...I am sooooo happy and relieved to be beyond the rush-to be headed toward a quieter day in New Year's Day-a day to fix up my calendar, make my resolutions, and take the day to stitch while in my pjs!! My favorite kind of day! I looked back at last year's resolutions-laugh more, stress less and think that will be my top resolution again this year...Stitch more is #2! Blog more is #3...

Blackbird Designs has released "Winter" which is the third in a three part booklet-love all of the projects in this new book.

Merry Christmas to all!

Hi all-Beth and I were talking-it was really just yesterday that we were getting ready for Christmas and for inventory-my grandmother was so right-she gave me two pieces of advice:

1. Don't wear lipstick-it stains your lips-once you start wearing it you'll have to continue--Didn't listen--Beth calls me a lipstick "ho"!

2. Enjoy each day-life goes faster and the older you get the faster it goes!

My goal at this point is always New Year's Day-I'm home-the shopping/the rush is over-I can enjoy a day off with NOTHING to do but sit with my pups and stitch!

I have posted two pictures of one of Blue Ribbon's future designs (and I'm a big Shaker fan) due out in February at Nashville-that will be here before you know it--right, Catherine G?? Cannot wait to see more Spring designs...you?

Hi all-I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving--didn't it just go too quickly? It truly is my favorite holiday-time with friends and family, great food and not so much pressure!

Lots of fun going on at the shop-if you stop by you'll hear joking and laughter-what a great place to work!! Thank you to all that have been in or that have been sending such nice emails and comments-you fuel our desire to find new items and ideas!!

New from Little House

Happy Tuesday-This morning on Fox Philadelphia they so kindly pointed out that next Friday is Black Friday and I was thinking "They are so wrong!"...much to my surprise I am the one that is "so wrong"...how did that happen?? Friends of mine have started their shopping-one is nearly finished-I so haven't! And though I don't love shopping like I used to, I do enjoy Christmas shopping--and wouldn't want to be finished (I wouldn't mind being started though-perhaps this weekend!)
So we had a nice visit from Cat, Brett, Peggy Lee, and Eileen...then later from Nikki-so good to see you all! Last week we had a really sweet surprise-out gal pal, Ellen, brought us an anniversary surprise-a big platter of sandwiches, soup, chips, and a goodie bag--we had never heard of this Cafe--Crazy Bones---the food was awesome! I am going back for more-especially the Picasso-citrus lime chicken salad, diced pineapple, dried cranberries, sliced brie, lettuce, and topped with crushed pecans--I know it sounds fabulous and it was!!it is on Naanams Road in Wilmington-thank you so much Ellen!!

Wow it's November!

Hello-greetings to you the day after Howloween! What a fun night last night was-I love to see all of the eager trick-or-treaters out and about--it was a quieter night last night-Lise said she too had fewer visitors-My usual groups from Eastern and Cabrini consisted of more gals this year and not as many of them either...well, they benefited as I was interested in not having too much leftover candy! And two years running-the People's Choice was Skittles (yuck might I say-I buy them as I won't eat them-if it ain't chocolate it ain't worth eating is my motto!)
Well, we've been working like hamsters here-you can always tell if I haven't posted on my blog it's because I'm wearing my roller skates! Big news:

2. Nancy is coming back from Montana soon-Yahoo! We have missed you sooo much!!

New from Sticks, Heart in Hand and Shepherds Bush

Hi all--well, after trying the "new editor" in the blog world, I have returned to the old-after two days of trying to figure out how the h__ to post pictures from my picture file I have decided that being an old fogy is just fine!

Four new kits are being released from Sticks as seen above--and Heart in Hand's yearly adorable Santa and a sweet Wee Snowman on a Hill...they should all be here within the next two weeks.

Also, the new Shepherds Bush stocking is gorgeous! I can't wait for that to arrive-and it calls for over dyed Pearl Coton by Weeks and Crescent--

I tried to watch the game last night but every time I walked into the room something would happen-so I had to work in another room and wait for screams from my little buddy William (9 years old) ...I am soooo relieved that we now only have to win one of two games. Beth and I missed our annual trip to St Louis-there is a fabulous restaurant/bar there called Bridge-very unique! Will be watching/listening to the game tonight-love Roy Oswalt and think that he is underrated by the Philly Phans-only hope my love for him exists tomorrow am!

Off to work on more frames-hope you all are good and enjoying these lovely autumnal days--and that you are getting some time for your stitching!

Long time no Blog

Hi all-Once again I am apologizing for the HUGE gap of time without blogging-chalk it up to me being so busy here with the day-to-day tasks...so without any more excuses I hope all is good with you all-I haven't been up to visit Mom and Dad in Vermont since Hurricane Irene hit-they did send me newspaper clippings that documented the horrors. They have been actively assisting the Veterinarian with people needing help with their pet's needs/medications. My niece, their granddaughter is doing a silent auction to benefit those that lost their homes. And she has a "walk in tent" filled with free clothing for those that lost everything. As a community they have pulled together...it is a testament to the good we can do.

I am going to peruse the net today (given the time) -saw a snippet of the newest Shepherd's Bush stocking "Thomas" (see above picture) and can't wait to see it completed! I have seen several snippets of the "coming soon" designs from WTN/CTS and will post a link to their site-http://www.withthyneedleandthread.blogspot.com/....I can't post any "WIPS" here as it is a copyright infringement-I do have to say I can't wait until the Winter Season , Merry Christmas to Ewe and November Words arrive 9see posts 9/13, 9/22, and 9/23 for pics).

Well, off to do my tasks-will be back this week with more (keep your fingers crossed!)

Baltimore Part 1

Hi all-Am working from home today after attending the Baltimore market yesterday-we got there just before the heavens let loose with rain yesterday and now, being so tired today, I'm using caffeine to keep me awake today as the rain is falling here today! We had a great day yesterday, we saw many wonderful new things as well as lots of great recently new things that we will be sending out to be stitched! It is always one of my goals to find new ways of finishing, framing, displaying....and that we found!

I have to say that after leaving I was saddened not to be heading to the spot Beth and I found in St Louis-they had the best beers and cheeses I have ever had-and of course, our candython back in the room as we worked to get things up online.

Don't throw tomatoes!

Hi all-I sincerely apologize for not posting in what seems like forever! To tell you I have been corking holes is an understatement-Connie has been out-her daughter just gave birth to twin boys, Phyllis has been out with family health difficulties...thank goodness for Stella, Mary Anne, Nancy and Eileen...

Sooo Beth and I will be heading to Baltimore this Saturday to find lots of new goodies--we've already seen some sneak previews and I wanted to get a few up for you!

So up above are coming soon from Bent Creek, Blue Ribbon, Carriage House, and Country Cottage...my goal for the rest of the week is to get something up each day-let me know what you like...can't wait to see all of the new designs and can't wait to hear your reaction! Hope all is good with you all-my Nemo had a foot issue-don't know if it was a bee sting,a grass allergy or a snag of the nail(eww-ouch!)-the vet is perplexed as to what it was...but suffice it to say that after Prednisone and antibiotics Nemo is a happier pup...and his foot is back to normal. Poor bubby-I have a picture of him in his "helmet"-he looks like Beth's Morning Glory! I will get it posted this week!

Welcome Home!

Howdy all-and thanks to all that sent good wishes to me-I spent the week down in the Outer Banks and had a great time-lots of beachtime, lots of good eats, lots of time with friends-but I missed my pups something fierce-they were at home being well taken care of but how they squealed when I got home! Mr Miley grabbed my hand and then my ponytail, Sammy danced, Nemo barked! It was a circus!!

I was missing my stitching-by nighttime I was too tired (and the lighting wasn't up for my 40 count fabric! Next year a light must be stashed in my bag!)-so I am all too eager to get home tonight for a stitchfest!

All Creatures Stitched and Small

Hi all-So sorry for the slowness in getting a new blog up-it's been busy ( and fun) at the shop with our Wacky Wednesdays-be sure to see the update for tomorrow-lots of goodies! I hope all has been good with you all-I went up to visit my folks over Father's Day-we were lucky enough to go through my dad's childhood home as well as his grandparent's (my great grandparent's!) home-his childhood home is up for sale in the Newton, MA area-chock full of memories-his father, my grandfather died after coming home from the war-this when my dad was 15 years old...I could see the tears in his eyes when he was remembering how his dad left for the hospital for brain surgery. And the anguish on his face as he recounted how he carried 50 pound buckets of "clinkers" up the bulkhead stairs to the street for pickup. But the joy returned when he told of how his dog, Jake, would , at bedtime, jump into a baby crib (no longer used for babies) at the top of the stairs...so many things I learned that I never would have known...a special Father's Day for both of us.

Hi all-Good morning to you all! My computer is acting much like I'm feeling today-a little sluggish-how about you all? We've had some beautiful weather but are now in for another heat wave and we haven't even gotten to June 21st...Beth is sitting near me grinning ear to ear-much like the pudding face kid-I hate that commercial-they freak me out! Well, back to our topic at hand, the Mystery Sampler Part II is going to be shipped out late this week to our distributor so we should be seeing it soon-Brenda out this sneak peek up on her blog-loving it!! Howdy all-Have been seeing some new designs cropping up-the top will be coming from country Cottage-perfect for the beach lovers!! (Includes me!) Coming from Little House is her first adaptation of a reproduction sampler-love, love the colors!

Volunteered at the Devon Horse Show last night for Grand Prix (busy, busy busy!) and heading there later this afternoon-the Burger Barn is a fun place to work-greasy though-the doggies love it when I arrive home (with treats, of course!)-I get tons of kisses and attention!!

Well, that's good for the Bryn Mawr Hospital but it made for some tired girls!!

My thoughts and prayers are going out to the folks in Missouri-the pictures and videos are disturbing/devastating. I'm not sure what's going on right now but doesn't it seem like there are too many disasters?? Is the world coming down??? Yikes.

Happy Monday all-I don't know about you all but I worked my tail off this weekend-the weather was soooo gorgeous on Saturday that yard work was a must-and so my veggie garden is planted, the yard is mowed and weedwacked and by yesterday (and still by today) I am sore, beaten up by the rototiller, and generally pooped...but by gosh when I'm eating (hopefully) fresh tomatoes I will be grateful. Unless the groundhog gets them first...
Just saw the news from Country Stitches/With Th Needle (http://www.withthyneedleandthread.blogspot.com/) that as of June 20th a new series will be released-Autumn will be released the first day of Summer, Winter released the first day of Autumn and so on---the sneak peek is above-LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Well, off to check the weather forecast-Beth and I ( and a group of friends) are supposed to go to the Phillies tonight but as my dear friend Sheila says, the skies look omnibus!!

Howdy all-here we are at Friday again-what a fun week-even though we've had so much rain it's nothing compared to what others have had to endure. So I just put the raincoat on and enjoy what could be snow, ice or unbearable heat.
I've enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces this week-Laura M., Nikki S., Barbara S., Sally T., Agnes B., Yvonne S., Elizabeth, Charlotte...we've heard from lots of you...Beth's Weary Wednesday was terrific-I am going to print it and hang it to remind me to see the sunny side when times get tough...
Hoping tomorrow doesn't end at 6PM-totally don't believe it (okay, maybe 10% of my head says"Hey it could happen")-and not going to do anything foolish but I have way too much left to stitch!! Right??!!
The above will be the next in the Brooke's Books Publishing Bride's Tree Ornaments-a really sweet series if you haven't seen it!
Well, off to spend the evening with the pups-yesterday was Mr Miley Coyote's birthday-his Grammie sent him a new blanket and I think we'll cuddle up under it and watch a replay of last night's The Office! I'm already missing Michael Scott! Big, big tears!!

Howdy all-I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and week after...I am home and happy in my routine/life...my pups missed me while I was gone but only half as much as I did them!! My Dad's surgery went well and I enjoyed spending Mother's Day with my mom-we were in NH and while the weather was iffy there is nothing like being by the water...the sea breeze, the seagulls and the boat horns all make me happy-maybe it's because I'm a Pisces??

Happy Mother's Day!

Greetings! So sorry it has been so very long-I hope all of you are well and enjoying the gorgeous weather! Phyllis and I have been stitching our fingers off on the Blackbird Rewards of Merit designs-she of course is getting many more stitched than I-but she is trying the Spring Tulips on 40 count-we are doing ours on 40 Tundra-and we changed one of the colors-she and I like to change things up a bit-we did it on Wild Lilies and we both are very pleased with the results-will post pics...

Heading up to NH to spend Mother's Day with my Mom...Dad had his cataract surgery and is doing well but will be doing errands and helping out at the house while he recuperates...I wish you all a Happy Mother's Day-Ruthie just asked me after I wished someone on the phone a Happy M's Day, "What if they aren't a Mother"...to which I responded, "Everyone is...maybe a Dog Mother, a Cat Mom, a caretaker to a child or parent....or a Mother of a child...we are in some ways each a Mother."

Happy Birthday, Abby!

Hello fellow stitchers! Happy Birthday, Abby!! Happy Birthday eve to my Sammy-girl!! And thank you to my fellow Friday night stitchers!! It was a fun group-some new faces, some not as new(don't want to say "old" !!) We had a great time and thanks to Lise for the coconut macaroons!!
Got back for NH last night-my Southwest flight was 1.5 hours late so bedtime was very, very late for me...was a good weekend with my folks and my great niece's 1st birthday (the Molly Sampler was for her)...her mum (my niece) loved it-which is always a great feeling-giving such a huge piece of yourself away can be tricky-my stitched pieces become a part of me-I kept a picture of little Molly with the piece and thought about her/her future as I stitched...it's a creation of the heart and hands...and to know that someone else will treasure it after it leaves your hands makes the heart and soul contented. I was reading a book that Beth bought called "The Secret Lives of Dresses"...it touched on similar issues-and there I was on the plane crying...the book has it's downfalls but it is an interesting one.
Hope all is good with you all-that you had a good weekend-I missed my pups but received such a warm, noisy, sloppy welcome home.

Peeks at upcoming favs!

Hi all-Hope you're seeing/feeling touches of Springtime! We hit almost 80 yesterday-Beth was so happy-me, I thought it felt a tad too warm-I enjoy the days of 50's and 60's-today, we are seeing our share of grey skies and showers-that' s what we're supposed to see, right? But days like this make it hard to get out of bed! Lucky for me I have those woofers that don't like to sleep too late!

Little House has given us a sneak peek at the Inn at Fox River...now you know that's a must for this fox lover! Poor Mr Miley has heard our neighborhood fox the past several nights-and he feels it his duty to bark him away at 3:30 in the morning! Sometimes there is that love/hate thing going for those foxes!

The next two are due out by Plum Street-I'm going to have to change mine from "lazy" to "crazy"!

Lastly is Country Cottage's next release-Red, White and Bloom-Connie is going to love this one!

Beth and I and the gang head to our first Phillie's game this week-after watching all of the basketball that has been on I haven't tuned in to see much baseball yet-this will get us kickstarted...

Banana Pudding

Well-after many request I am posting what i made last evening! I had all intentions of making the pudding according to the directions that Linda R gave me but as I have a touch of my grandmother in me, I just had to change it up a bit! So I started to gather ingredients and found I had to substitute a few things-but it worked out really well!!

2 cups milk

1 5 ounce box instant vanilla pudding

1 8 ounce of softened cream cheese

1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk (and Nikki I so wanted to just drink it!! )

1 12 ounce container thawed frozen whipped topping ( I used a can of whipped cream)

2 ripe bananas

I threw everything in the mixer and beat er up! I only used a 3 ounce box of pudding so next go round I will use a bigger one to make it firmer-just yummy!

Hi all-Can't believe we are quickly approaching April-this weekend is Beth's birthday and we'll be celebrating big here! Mary Anne came in this AM and saw my leftover soup in the fridge and asked me if it was the leftover Banana Pudding(the recipe from Linda R. at stitching)...well now I really must go home tonight and whip it up! I have to promise myself not NOT to eat the entire bowl...NOT to eat more than one teaspoon of the sweetened condensed milk! I was glad to hear Phyllis say she can do the same!! Most people make me feel as though I have hair on fire when I say I can eat spoon after spoon of it!!! Well, big news from Country Stitches/With Thy Needle-They are releasing a Birds of A Feather Mystery Sampler Club-there will be three patterns in the series-the first will be the border...the second and third ones will be the center of the designs-stitch count is 173 w x190 h stitched on 35ct WDW linen but can be stitched on their 30 or 40 count linen of the same color-not sure yet if we can adapt it to aida but we will let you know! The entire piece will use 18 skeins of Weeks Dye Works floss...on 35ct fabric the design will be 9 7/8 x 10 7/8--typically this would be a piece costing $22.00 ($20.50 on 30ct, $30.00 on 40ct) but if you sign up and prepay by April 16th we will extend a special Club price-- -Birds of a Feather Mystery Club 30ct WDW fabric, three charts and 18 skeins of WDW floss-$71.00 -Birds of a Feather Mystery Club 35ct WDW fabric, three charts and 18 skeins of WDW floss-$73.00 -Birds of a Feather Mystery Club 40ct WDW fabric, three charts and 18 skeins of WDW floss-$79.00 Call us, email us or fax us and we will get you on the list!! Friday Stitching

Good morning all-I wanted to say what a fun time I had on Friday night-what a great group of gals (but then again it always is a blast!)...thank you to Linda R for the recipes-it took all of my power not to make the banana pudding (I knew I would eat the whole dern thing!) but now that the week has started I can make it and bring it in to share!! We had a couple of new faces (Donna's not a new name though-it was nice to put a face to you, Donna!) and many old ones (not age wise!!)--we had all sorts of discussions and sharing and fun!
What a gorgeous weekend of nice weather we had too-My Nemo has become obsessed with some chipmunks that hang out in my yard-he really wants to get ahold of one-yikes! It certainly doesn't help that they squeek when they run! That is one of the tough parts of Springtime is the wildlife that become oh so interesting!
The above is Bunny & Co that is now in cross stitch-and will be available soon! I started one of the carrots from Harried Hare from Samsarrah-it is ADORABLE! I will get a picture up tomorrow!

Made it to Friday!

Well, here we are-we've made it to Friday-what a long week-My trip to NH was okay-Dad did not have his surgery-it was postponed until May as he went to the ER on Sat night with a UTI (urinary tract infection)-but it was a blessing as he is feeling better than he has in two years. So we'll do it again in May.

Terrible news about Japan-watching the footage has been so disturbing! It seems lately that water has done such damage...praying for all involved...

Lots of great new items from Nashville and beyond-we are still seeing new items arrive-so hard to decide what I want to get!! And now I have an opening in my rotation-Boris or Wild Roses or As The Crow Flies or Thirteen Colonies or Harried Hare or J'Arrive or Yellow Bird or....

The above are from Brooke's and from Rosewood Manor-the Wishes ornament (the basket)will be in soon-the Hope one (the Bunny) and the Quaker Compass from Rosewood Manor will be out in April!

A Week

I dedicate today's blog to Lisa Roswell, the designer of Primitive Needle. She was tragically taken from us on Monday...she was on her way to work as an oncology nurse when her car was swept off the road. She was a very creative, very talented, extremely kind, funny sweet person! Her designs are some of my very favorites and as you may know I am currently stitching one. I shall miss her -I shall miss her contributions to our stitching world-I can't imagine the pain her family is enduring...I will think of her with every stitch on my ABC Hornbook.
I have added more items to the Nashville New on our website and will try to post more next week-I am heading up to NH to be with my parents while my dad has his second cataract surgery.
I wish you all a good weekend-I will be back hopefully on Thursday-Poor Beth is still trying to figure out my gobbledigoop way of doing things-I shall miss my workerbees-and my pups-but know they are all in good hands...

Thursday-A Calmer Me

Hi all-Above is just a teaser of lots more to come-Little House, Blackbird, Erica Michaels to name just a few of the designer's goodies that haven't even made it to our Nashville pages yet...hopefully I can get more up tomorrow-toady is mail order and orders in to designers and distributors. I am on a slower, lower key today-Tuesday I was so focused on getting the newsletter out ...Last night I stayed up and watched American Idol (I will be up again tonight-dern!) A few of my favorites are already gone-dern dern!

I have heard more from Beth-they are good but saddened to see a country in devastation-will be wearing my red and black tomorrow-and looking forward to seeing their faces Monday. I realize what a well-oiled machine we are and missing a huge chunk of the machine has been a challenge-thanks to all of you that have been so kind and supportive...

Well, heading off to order more goodies-My Sammy girl is to the vet today for a biopsy-I'm hoping for the best!!

Wednesday that seems like Thursday!

Well, it's late and I need to head home but I wanted to get some newbies up-so many fabulous new things coming and more yet to be released! I want to get a newsletter out by Friday--is it do-able?? The bucket of mailorder is overflowing and the stack of items needing to be skued has reached new heights-what have I been doing?? Well, today was Lise's birthday-so Fresh Market cake was an early morning purchase-yummy! Lise and I were wondering if we have made it through all of their cakes yet-I had such a difficult decision-cupcakes or cake?? Well , the Sinful White Chocolate won (everyone at FM raves about it) and it was yumalicious!
Well above new-Mirabilia Red Lady Pirate, Country Stitches Easter Frills and Proverbs, Little House ornament #2 Bringing Home the Tree, Shakespeare's Peddler Jenny Bean Creation and A Sampling By Anne--there are lots more-hopefully you will see a newsletter soon with tons of pictures-here's hoping!

I know, I know-so many of you have been waiting for Spring-not only the real season but also the Cricket Collection graph-well, it is due out mid-February so hold on-and I know around these parts we will see and feel a touch of Spring next week-Fox news said by Thursday we will be close to 60 degrees-and Miss Beth will miss it! That will be a tad warm for me-but it will get rid of all of the nasty ice in my back yard-if it weren't for YakTraks I would be sending those pups down into the yard alone-and can't do that with Mr Fox around!!

So again, I want to thank all of you that sent in orders, that have sent kind remarks, comments, support and love-I am running around here trying to figure out how the heck to get this all completed yesterday!! But with the wonderful help from Mary Ann, Phyllis, Nancy, Eileen, Connie, Stella and Lise I am treading...I do apologize if I haven't gotten to all of the emails-I am slowly making my way through-so if you sent one and haven't heard back, hang in there!

Along with Spring, look for La Mer (the sea) from Cricket Collection-won't Beth love that one? Great for a beach house-or like mine, a wanna-be beach house!!

Hi all-Thank you to all of you that came/emailed/ordered online to TSS on Sunday...we had sooo many familiar and new faces-so many lovely emails-so many nice comments-Thank you to Melba for bringing her new little fuzzy, Amiga-she is so sweet-I can't wait to see pictures of her in her many years of fun to come! To the sweet lady(I don't know your name) in the shop that commented on my stitching challenge-thank you!! To Liz T -thanks for allowing me "leeway" on my challenge!! To Barb W we loved your comments on our not so favorite FB player-we totally, totally agree here!! We will be sending out an email today (hopefully) -with any luck I am going to try to get it out as Beth is heading to New Zealand and I will be the one sending out info-so ahead of time, wish me luck on my temporary job!! I'm thinking I'm gonna need it, folks!!

New from Prairie Schooler

Hi all-sorry it has been forever since I've updated you on the news-Beth and I have been crazy-busy trying to keep up with the mailorder, the web, ordering and the store-and it has been fun! There are tons of new goodies about to be released-and of course, this weekend is our annual Superbowl Sale! So I have been working like a dog (although my dogs don't work so hard-maybe I don't push them enough!!HAHA) to get items up today-and will again, tomorrow-so there will be lots to choose! The sale is from 12 noon until 4PM --20% off all but Dazor lights, DMC floss-we don't take framing in on Sunday either-other that that it's all up for grabs! Even the items that haven't made it to our shop yet!

Well, the above are new from Prairie Schooler and my favorite is As the Crow Flies-I think I will take it and use some overdyed floss like I did with Christmas Eve-that is when I finish up one of my challenge pieces-am back to Sampler Roundy and want to finish before Sunday so as to get it in one of our new round black boxes--stay tuned! The challenge is going extremely well-in fact I would highly recommend it--

Hi all-Okay I've have been accused of switching up my order of projects in my challenge and, in a world of many that don't take responsibility, I am here to say, yes, I am guilty. But to be fair I am being accused by someone that would not even try the challenge. Furthermore, I am staying within the confines of my list-I have not deviated to other projects. In fact, I have stayed the course of the three days per project. So I say to my buddy Beth, bring it!

Hi all-Am having a blast with the stitching challenge-I started stitching La D Da's Bird in Hand and now on to Country Stitches Sewing Bird--Each project is so much fun and how I am looking forward to getting back to them-it's interesting that knowing I only have the three days on each makes me want to get a bit of time of them each night!

We are now waiting for another winter storm here-maybe a chance to get in some stitching !!

Happy New Year-Project One

Well hello 2011! And so long to 2010!! I hope you all had good days over your holiday time-mine went very quickly-and back home I was! But how good it was to be back in my bed with my pups!! Their Grammy got them warm and fuzzy presents-one being a couch cover that we opened last night-never saw so much rolling around!!

I have completed days One, Two and Three on my first project-and I have posted a picture-I have also decided to include four projects I have started-so I will have to delete four and insert these four---

Okay, so I've heard about and read about lots of different stitching challenges-many too unstructured for the likes of me. So after much mulling and stewing I have created my own challenge-anyone up for it? Well, read on and try it out!
Pick 10 new projects for 2011-kit them up--get 'em ready! The first project I shall work on during days 1-3 of each month.
Project 2-Stitch days 4-6 of each month.
Project 3-Stitch days 7-9...
Project 4- days 10, 11 and 12.
ETC
So you see the pattern...now granted certain months (ie February) project 10 will get gypped--so project 10 should be an easy one...
Okay, now to pick 10 projects...I will be posting my list-let me know what challenges you are trying or what projects you are going to pick...or what you think of this idea!

Christmas Week

Greetings, fellow stitchers! Well here we go on this quick slide towards Christmas-how fast the time is flying! I don't know about you but I still have quite a list and very little time left-yikes! And there is no way to hit the "HOLD" button for a bit more time! I did stop to make lace cookies (I know they only take a few ingredients, a quick set up and 7-10 minutes to bake)...I did get my tree up and decorated and did manage to place a few non-nostalgic ornaments down low-those little white fluffy boys have managed to only sniff these low hangers but there is mischief in their eyes. They are waiting for a distraction-a doorbell, an unbalanced load, a smoking oven....they know (as do I) that it is only a matter of time!
I also pulled out a bunch of my stitched Christmas pieces-how fun it is to see all of my old friends-I switch out everyday pictures for these Christmas ones-some I keep up all year long...
The above will be out from By The Bay-appropriately named "New England Winter"...

I have two very dear friends that are each going through very dark days right now-during this season of lights, music and joy I don't know how they find the strength to get out of bed...to all of you, especially NC and SB I send out my love, prayers and hope for peace.

Hi all-Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving-wow, did that go fast...I still think we are heading towards Halloween! Yikes!!

I've started my Christmas shopping-I went to the outlets on Friday morning before working and then went to KOP yesterday for a bit-on Saturday I went to several small businesses...how's it going for you all? I've had the best luck so far at the outlets...

Don't forget that we are having a fabric sale through tomorrow-all in-stock fabrics are 20% off-please let us know if you need info on what's in-stock-we'll be glad to check!

Up above are gorgeous and on their way to us soon-from Drawn Thread-the smaller pieces are meant to be calendar covers but definitely could be small pictures...and they don't necessarily have to say the month--it could be a family name, an address...I also think this would be great in a frame that could be changed each month-even one that has room for calendar pages! I just love the designs!

Happy Birthday, Nemo!

Here it is Friday again and I feel like I haven't gotten anything accomplished-I spent the day yesterday stitching, grocery shopping and doing laundry and didn't get a single picture of Miss S on her new bed-what a slug! And now today is bubby Nemo's big 1st birthday (a made-up day as I don't know when he was really born) -the above picture was his first night at my house-his little face tells it all-what have I gotten into? But he is such a little imp and loves his big brother, Miley.

Heading to stitching in a few minutes-looking forward to seeing some of you there! I've only brought three projects with me :D

The new Country Cottage Snowflake Serenade and Little House North Wind graphs will be next week-and don't forget about our post-Thanksgiving free gift we give away while supplies last-we also will be having another special on Friday and Saturday-stay tuned...

The last Little House pattern of 2010

Happy Monday to all-just cruising through designer's websites and blogs-the above will be the last design in 2010 from Little House-very pretty-can't believe that we will be seeing this weather soon enough and that the end of 2010 is that close-Ugh!
Had a great weekend-Beth and I did a girl's day out on Friday-we went to Sephora, The Loft, Macy's and Cheesecake Factory. Fabulous day from start to end. My only regret is that I went with the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake (good but not great) and not the new Reese's decadent one with chocolate cake and caramel-I know, I know...I am one of those people! I am still boo-hooing it today!! Stupid! I once went out for dinner and ordered soft shelled crabs and lived to regret that one for weeks-I don't go out that often so when I make those kind of mistakes I don't let go easily!
Jacki was in on Thursday and brought us fabulous Pumpkin Orange muffins--delicious! I am adding these to my bake-a-thon...
Pups are good-I went to HomeGoods on Sunday to purchase a new bed for Miss Sammy (the boys had chewed the side off her favorite bed cover-those boys!!) So I found this adorable pale pink bolster bed-once I got it home Nemo decided that it should be his (all things are his-what a boy!) So after some time he gave it up and now Miss S loves it (picture to come tomorrow!)...they are loving the leaves in the yard-they love that swooshy noise they make when all three of them run to the end!

Hi all-hope all is good with you! Can't believe the calendar is down to the last few pages-where has it gone?? I'm looking forward to my bake-fest the Wednesday before Thanksgiving-I usually do 5 or 6 pies and 5 or 6 batches of muffins-all between 5PM and midnight-I love it-and I'm always looking for new ideas--I have the two muffin recipes posted on Paulette Stewart's Four Seasons Cafe-sidebar-I have tried her Oreo Freeze and her recipe for Pumpkin Cake with Vanilla frosting-both huge hits...http://plumstreetsamplers.typepad.com/plum_street_samplers/four-seasons-cafe/ for these recipes!!
So if you have any great recipes--I know I was also looking last year and Catherine, I never tried the recipe you gave me-this may be the year!!

To Mary W. thank you for the candy--we ate it for lunch (no time for the healthy stuff on Saturday--too busy!) and now there are three pieces left!! Oh my!! To Pat P. thank you for your commiseration about the Phillies and do come to stitching-we miss you!! To Podzi and Becky...it was good to see you! To Barbara S. we will get lots more in To Diane P. thank you for sending and bringing in Cole Hamel's pic--Good to see you too, Carla S. To the many others that came and kept us smiling we thank you so much! We had a fun day-and we live vicariously through you when we help you pick out projects!!

The above has me jumping for joy-you all know I love these designs and these are spectacular!!

Hope you had a good Halloween-we had 132 Trick or Treaters-lots from the two college campuses nearby-I love both the younger and older kids-all very polite-all eager for some fun. My favorite this year was a little girl and her sister-a peacock and a butterfly-so sweet! Brings back really good memories of my childhood...hope it does for you too!

I visited my parents over the weekend and drove back Monday-it was good to spend Mom's birthday with her-a girl that is like a granddaughter to her organized a card party for her and she received over 100 cards-it was fun for her to get so much mail and see just how many people love her!!

It's raining here today-very peaceful-very warm-I know we will have many cold days ahead so we must enjoy the break, right??!

Hi all-well, I don't know about you but I am going to enjoy tonight's game so much more than the last two nights-I get so stressed watching our Phillies--and this weekend I'm heading up to see my mom(her b-day is tomorrow) so I won't be able to see the next two (wishful thinking??) games-maybe that's a good thing! Sometimes when I don't watch they do better-am I a jinx?? I definitely will be wearing my necessary attire...

Today's selection of new include Bent Creek, Blackbird Designs, Lila's Studios and Mosey n Me...there have been so many good projects out there-did I tell you I finished Jenny Bean's Halloween and it is hanging here at the shop (temporarily of course!!)...

Hi all-Hope all is good with you all-It's Friday!! Yahoo!! And the PHILS start tomorrow-anyone else nervous besides Beth and me?? We aren't nervous about the wins or losses-we know they can do it-this anticipation is what's getting us!!

So if anyone EVER tells you that ripping up carpet is easy---NEVER, EVER believe them! I spent twelve-12-!@!@-hours yesterday ripping up carpet, padding and my hands! I got hit on the head by a hammer (supposedly not intentionally-hmmm) and then, because of the dust and fibers, having an asthma attack-almost had to call 911. What a mess~! But it is finished (save for throwing the carpet out the window)...

Also coming is the design stitched entirely in a white silk-it can be stitched on any color fabric..very wintery! Last but not least coming soon is the second in this branch series by Bent Creek! Still love that little owl!!

Wow, I used to think May was crazy but October is creeping into that category...how have you all been? What are you stitching? I am almost finished Jenny Bean Halloween-with these nights of baseball and nerves i have been glued to my chair-I'm glad we have a reprieve tonight-no stress...

Hi there-and Happy Friday-I hope you have had a chance to visit our website to catch up on all of the new goodies from St Charles-I have to say the designers outdid themselves-there was sooo much to see-so many things I want to stitch and have stitched for the shop! We have been getting things unpacked, skued, out on the floor-Phyllis, Mary Anne, Nancy, Eileen and Stella have been working so hard...and to anyone that ordered from us, we so appreciate it! We are doing our best to get what we have here out-so you too can enjoy! I had too many favorites to mention-I hope you too find it inspiring.

And I hope you didn't have a horrific morning after the rain-it took me 75 minutes to get to work but after seeing the torrents of water I am just thankful I am not looking at a flooded basement, an evacuation, or worse...I hope none of you are facing anything like that.

Hi all-Beth and I are running around trying to get ready for our trip later this week--the above are new Ink Circles (and the fourth one is a release currently in the shop-it was released in a magazine and is now available just as a chart)...also this year's limited edition kit from Prairie Schooler...

Stitching Friday night was great-we had the big doors open to let in the fresh cool air-we got updates on the Phillies game...we had banana pudding form Linda R.( I had three bowls!!) and cookies (seasonal sweets) from Evelyn!! Thanks gals! And thank you to all that came-it is always fun to see you all and to spend the evening with you! To those that couldn't make it, hopefully you can in October...

Yahoo-we made it to Friday, once again...and yahoo x2...it's stitching tonight! I almost forgot my stitching this AM in the hubbub rush of leaving my house--that's what I need, to start yet another project!!!

So...a mishmash of new above--Yeah for a new Lavender and Lace...the next one is showing new pins (glass top) from Kelmscott along with a design from a kit from Wendy KC...then comes a limited edition kit from Shakespeare's Peddler...I LOVE THIS! It is just like Boggle-look for CAT, BOAT, FLOWER, BIRDS, BLOWN, BOWER, FLOWN...and it goes on!

Last but not least is the full pic of Pumpkin Cottage by Country Cottage...well, if you are not tempted by now, get out your thermometer and check for a temperature... or better yet just grab your wrist and check for a pulse!!

A new company is Hodgepodge, one of Paulette Stewart's daughters (from Plum Street), is releasing the above terrific design!! We love Breanna already!! How sweet are they-and how they're finished...thanks, Amy, on the heads-up on this info!

There has already been so many exciting previews of items being released at St Charles at the end of the month-the top three will be released from Plum Street-the top is a design with a poem written, appropriately, by Robert Frost! The second is Boris, a companion to Olga-oh my goodness-he is fantastic!! If you haven't seen Olga, you must!

Hi all-hope your Labor Day was good-I can't believe we're heading to Autumn so quickly-sleeping with the windows open last night was wonderful-having cool, crisp sheets and a cozy blanket was so great...not waking up feeling like a slug-the best! Beth and I went to the Phillies game last night and left them in a good position at 10 to 0...then heard on the radio home that Florida had gained ground...thank goodness they held on and won.

The above will be the next in the Anniversaries of the Heart series...you need to read the story behind it on Blackbird's blog http://blackbird-designs.blogspot.com/ for September 2nd...It definitely will go in my pile and I'm dedicating it to my maternal grandmother, Marion, who died when my mom was 8...

Hey all-Don't know if you can see these pics-I was trying to upload them one at a time but...it's Friday-that wouldn't happen, right??! Nonetheless, very cute pillows-not in yet but soon...

Hope you all have had a good week-I have been out straight-and when I stop I've been poopered! It has been busy here, and we are eternally grateful for that...we are so thrilled to see each and every one of you email, call or enter our doors....Beth and I are still working on the Friday the 13th orders..we are going to try to get most out today--I am way behind on frames and to anyone waiting, I apologize--I may try to take some home this weekend just to try to get somewhat caught up.

Yesterday I had eye and dentist appointments which were long overdo but successful-I go to a place in Newtown, Bucks County where I started going over 25 years ago-the two doctors are twin brothers-the office is filled with friendly, wonderful people-both doctors are so personable...but when I got home-done! I sat like a slug! My dogs loved it though!!

Well more later...hope you all are terrific--and that your weekend is the best!!

Happy Friday--Hope you have as beautiful a day where you are as we have---the back door is open and we are soaking in the autumnal weather (don't say this where Beth is in armshot-she is not a fan of leaving this sauna summer we've had-don't understand that at all!)

We received several new, fabulous designs from Homespun Elegance with a cute, cute freebie (the design seen at the top)...Love the Witchville design-I am sooo into Halloween (like you couldn't tell that, huh??!)

Well, the Phils are finished with the Astros, thank goodness...I didn't get to watch any of the series but what I heard sounded painful...ugly...but I won't lose faith! They can do this-get to the playoffs...

All is good with the pups...thank you to all that ask about Nemo-he's fully recovered from his surgery and back to his crazy self...

Well, off to make some skus...will post more new as soon as it appears!

Home again jiggity jog

Hey all-sorry I didn't get to the blog over the weekend-we did get Mom and Dad's doggie, Zoe to Tufts for her chemotherapy treatment...they have a terrific center with such a great staff-very caring...but I have to say I am too much of a marshmallow with animals...I have way too much empathy! I have had my share of trips to a center closer to home, Metropolitan...what a fabulous place that is-I am fortunate to be close to it...Good news that Zoe's concition is stable and that the chemo seems to have slowed the progression for now. :)

Anyhoooo-I am home and my own pups were so happy to see me-they all squealed (I'm not kidding when I say that either!)...and back to work I am with a big smooshy grin on! Yeah!

Well, things here are okay-I did miss stitching on Friday night and that completely had me bummed....I will not miss again, if I can help it!

Hi all-Above is the next in Blackbird's Anniversaries of the Heart-I love the swans--I used to watch the swans (black and white) up at the Cape-so very elegant they are....so now I'm on the watch for any patterns with swans...below is a bonus pattern which accompanies the above pattern--both are gorgeous!

If you haven't heard many designers are in the process of creating "friends" for the now famous Jenny bean...she is quite the popular girl, you know!! There will be all sorts of great designs coming-the picture below is one of Jenny's to be released at the upcoming market in St Charles... Beth and I are slated to go-we've been two years in a row now and love this market-full of great ideas, products, designers, distributors...Speaking of which...we are trying to decide where to stay, where to eat--does anyone out there have experience in the St Charles/St Louis area? we are taking recommendations!

Well, off to Brian's birthday party and then off to Mom and Dad's for a visit-am going to help them take their Zoe to Tufts for another round of chemo...she is doing good for now, thank goodness!

Coming from Cricket Collection are The Master and the Macabre, a salute to Edgar Allen Poe-it is a fabulous design... I love all of the symbolism-I'm going to have to go hunting for more info on the writings...Winter and Autumn are the next in her seasonal series and I have to say these two are better even than Summer!!

Oh uh Jacki-we're in trouble-this Branch series is soooo cute! Love that little owl with the hat...There are so many great Halloween and Autumnal designs coming out----what's a stitcher to do??? The "Halloween with a Y" and "Frolic in the Foliage" are from Blue Ribbon...aren't they great???

Beth and I have spent the past two days working on pulling orders and placing orders to our distributors...again, we thank all of you that joined us in our fun!

A very big thank you goes out to all of you that emailed, sent in orders and came in on Friday and Saturday-what a fun few days it has been-we so enjoyed visiting, helping, laughing, and seeing all of your wonderful faces. We have received phone calls from many (a huge shout out to Terri-hope you continue to feel better! and Amy-sorry we got cut off again, Amy!)...so many of you really got into the spirit-Kim wore a Halloween t-shirt!, Lise wore a Halloween pin and got crazy looks from folks at Fresh Market...we got a chance to catch up with Pat P-we miss seeing you, Pat! We heard great news from Nikki about her sister...it's an amazing feeling to have such connections with so many of you-you all are more than stitchers, more than customers, more than faces or names...you are dear friends and we love being able to have needle and thread to keep us connected.

Well, howdy to all-hope you had a good weekend-what a nice day Saturday was--Nemo is doing great-I tried to give him as much time as possible without his helmet on--Miley Coyote and Sammy-girl won't play with him once his cone is on :( So I played referee all weekend, making sure the play wasn't too rough, the running too hard, the licking/chewing (sorry to be gross!) was inbounds...but worth it so they could have fun! They make me laugh-they make getting up early in the morning fun!

So now to the stitching (which was not to be done this weekend!)...Little House will be releasing a fabulous Family Sampler-you will have the ability to personalize it with a surname, first names, pets , children...I love this one! And as a gift it would be terrific!!

New from With Thy Needle/Country Stitches are three more--Fraidy Felix will be a great companion to Boo Cat-and Felix has a cute little pocket! I love how they are doing these little Christmas bags--St Noel just arrived and that too is a bag with Santa on the front...Fruit for a Song-perfect for gardeners and for all of us that grow veggies and fruit not just for ourselves but also for the birds and other critters ( for me it is chippies and foxes)...

Hi all-Another busy week has flown by-Nemo had surgery this week (neutering) and so he's got his helmet on (aka halo)-my poor Sammy and Miley are terrified of him when he has it on-he is like a little alien to them! I think he thinks he is styling when he has it on-but boy, is he thrilled when it comes off!!
I pulled out my ABC Hornbook yesterday and I was right-I have down to the M is for Mermaid section finished-I stitched the Nightingale and Peach yesterday-it was fun to see it-As I hang with the pups this weekend I will be working on it-we'll see how much I can accomplish!
We received more of the Just Cross Stitch Halloween Ornament issue-so if you didn't get one we still have some-I have put one aside for me-it is the best one so far (I think this is year three?)

Hi there-Was just reading my newsletter from Shakespeare's Peddler...there will be several designers releasing designs from 'friends" of Jenny Bean-the first to release is Beth from Heartstring Samplery-I didn't realize that Poppy Maye Russell was a fictional character-there is a sweet little story about her in the chart-about her mother and father, about how she loved her name and always added her signature poppy flower...also added was a snippet from her English Reader (a real book-directions are in the chart as to how to find it online and how to download it)...This chart has now been added to my "to buy" pile and how fun it will be to collect all Jenny's friend's charts!! (I know, that has to be grammatically incorrect!! )

Hi all-hope you had a great weekend-We are excited here as the trunk show from Primitive Needle is on it's way-I can not wait to see Witches Hollow!~! I love Lisa's designs-I have the ABC Hornbook started (about 1/2 way finished too!) and have many, many in my "to do" pile... the top design will be a kit available after late September...

Also new are four kits by Sticks...the original four have been very popular...At the top is a new design by Primitives by Caryn and the ornament is #10 in the Little House series...it will be out late this month (who can stinkin' believe it is August???)

Good afternoon-lots of noise here-Nancy and Stella are back from their trips and are rearranging the store! We missed them so very much-it is nice when all is back in place!

New things are showing up everyday-Three new patterns from Homespun Elegance-Love the Washington design-my dad told me he is reading a fascinating book about GW...me, I go for the chick lit...I am currently reading a book by Madeleine Wickham called "The Gatecrashers"...very good...this author is actually Sophie Kinsella writing under another name...it gets hard though deciding between stitching, reading, sudoku, and getting pummeled by three dogs....hmmm.

Hi to all-Hope you all are feeling the relief of more tolerable weather-I took a couple of days off and cleaned up the yard-I know, what poor timing-but you have to do what you have to do!! Really proud of the Phils this weekend-my picture at the top is of Jayson Werth-one of my favorites-and I am fearful that his time with the Phillies may be coming to an end...I know we need pitching-but folks, we had Cliff Lee...still can't let that one go-and we shouldn't have let him go!!

A HUGE thank you to all that attended Friday night's Stitching at the Ford-I had an awesome time-there were three group "newbies"-Jenn, Kathy and June-they all seemed to have fun-we talked about food, dogs, divorce, marriage, flylady.net(I'm terrified to go to her site-I will get hooked, I'm sure!)...it was one of the best--Thanks to Evelyn and Bonnie for bringing extras...thanks to Francine for bringing her scrapbook...thanks to all that helped set up and clean up---I look forward to our Friday nights--hope you do too!

Yahoo! The new Prairie Schoolers are here-and the 2010 Santa with skis-I had a feeling she was doing a ski thing-very sweet-also love, love the books-esp the two Christmas ones and October-Looking forward to stitching tonight-lots of people are coming so it will be fun...

All of the work people are FINALLY out of my house...it has been months since the they started so it will be a long stretch until all is back in place...did you ever see the movie, The Money Pit?? It is absolutely one of my favorites...esp the scene with Tom Hanks after he has poured the water into the tub and then gets laughing hysterically... I am laughing now as I sit here thinking about it! But for anyone that has had any work done on an apartment/house or what-have-you it is a must see-

Hi all-Well, God is good to us-we have more rain which we need-now I am praying for some cooler temperatures and less humidity-we could stand a breather!

We got a surprise visit from Jary-remember her? She worked with us many years ago-she organized our retreats....she was in town to visit friends and to go to a conference in Washington...it was terrific seeing her and she really looks the same!! We miss you Jary!!

Also in to visit was Kathy B...we get to see her off and on...she and her hubby Joe are in NC so she comes up and gets stitching framed and stocks up on supplies every so often...we miss you Kath!! And thank you soooo much for the toffee and the nut clusters!! Yumalicious!!

Been a crazy loon trying to fill Christmas in July orders--thank you for all of your orders!! Don't forget you have until the 31st to get your 20% off Christmas books, kits, and graphs...

Also, do remember that this Friday is Stitching at the Ford-I am looking forward to some time to sit and visit and stitch too!!

Good morning, all! Hope you all had a good weekend-what weird weather-and again this morning we are having pouring rain-which we so need! It is however, making all of us sluggish and sleepy-we'll be hitting the Diet Coke big time today!

I watched some of the episodes of Top Chef last evening-just love the dynamics of this year's group! And there are some very interesting personalities this season too! I just love Kenny-he could cook for me anytime!

Up above are new from Little House, Heartstring Samplery, Glory Bee-none are here yet but look for them soon!

Once again, it's Friday and this weekend is the first I've had off in weeks! Big smushy smile!! My yard looks like Jack has thrown down some of his magic beans-huge weeds that have grown as high as the first floor windows-UGH! So if my energy is high tomorrow that is where I shall be!! Unless I cave to my stitching-I worked on my Prairie Schooler Christmas Eve-I am loving it-will try to get updated photos up next week...

A big thank you to Nikki for bringing us chocolates from Las Vegas(mostly for Lise, our framer-she helped her out with cool box for a gift for her dad)...it was fun to see her, as always! Also here today were Sue and Susan (with little Carly-adorable with her suitcase of pens, pencils and Princess case-she sat so quietly and worked so diligently on her drawings!)...

And Catherine was here with two of her boys-they are growing so quickly-and Reed, Mr Miley owes you another note-I think he'll be working on it this weekend!!

I can't believe that Stitching at the Ford is next week already-let us know if you are coming!!

Hi all-I hope this finds you doing okay-I was watching Sue Serio on Fox News this AM and it sounds (UGH) like we are in for another heat wave next week-what is up?? Are we near the end or what?? A friend of mine said this is similar to the Twilight Zone episode from long ago-do you all remember it? I guess the paintings on the walls start to melt!!

I found these two "newbies" on the blogs of By The Bay and Little House-I think By The Bay's Blossom's and Bee's should be out within the month of July...Little House is doing a series of samplers that aren't reproductions but have elements of them-the first is Sarah Street-which is also due out this month!! Both designs are on my wish list!

Pups are doing good-Little Nemo and Mr Miley are getting their running done first thing in the morning-with Sammy telling them to settle down-she's my little assistant-I have been watering my tomato plants each night-Nemo LOVES to drink from the watering can! An outdoor watering hole just for him!!

Hi all-Hope you all are good and staying comfortable-God bless all that work outside-ugh! Our regular UPS guy, Andy, is off this week and I'm happy for him-although we have his substitute-he's okay, just a bit off...so hurry up Andy and get back to us-but not before you put in for cooler temps!

Beth has been working on a newsletter and I have been working on frames and mail order-Lise got us lunch and our new fav snack, Cinnamon Crispies, from the "crack store"-Beth calls the Fresh Market this as the food is totally addictive--their rotisserie chicken salad, the Strawberry Spinach Salad, and Almond Puff Croissants are just a few of my favorites so far-Beth, Lise and I are thinking of getting part-time jobs there!! I would get fired for too much taste-testing, I promise you!!

Interesting news today-Lindsay Lohan is upset because she received sentencing of 90 days in prison ??!!! Lebron will be on TV for an hour tonight to tell us about his decision??!! And they still haven't decided about Michael Vick ??!! Amazing!!

Hello-how have you all been? I drove up to Portsmouth, NH for the weekend and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful! I drove home yesterday (read UGH!) and am back to work today (thank goodness-I am one of the very few fortunate people that LOVES her job!) So...here we are now in July-OMG!! Where is the time going? Didn't my grandmother warn me about this.,..and about lipstick staining your lips...I didn't heed her warnings on either...Lovely Phyllis just had to remind us that Christmas is now less than six months away-thanks alot!! But in the stitching world we celebrate it early so as to get those pics and stockings ready..thus our Christmas in July sale...

The above I found from By the Bay and Raise the Roof-both should be out within the next few weeks...

Will troll for more new...in the meantime, stay cool and remember your four-legged critters and older folk too-they need extra attention in this awful heat...

Hi all-four more previews of great designs to come-Little House (we are going to be sooo sad when this ornament series is finished :0 ), Primitive Needle, Primitive Needleworks by Caryn and a designed from artwork by L. Kotila....all very appealing to me-to you too??

A huge shoutout to three people-first to Page M...she often will visit us on Wednesdays but chose today to stop in...and a good thing too-we had a customer shopping that wasn't feeling great and thanks to Page, an ICU nurse, she didn't head out before a little TLC...Page is to health issues as Jessica Fletcher is to murder-wherever they go, it follows!! Thank you, Page for being here at the right time!! We love you lots!

To Sherri we say thanks for trying to get us a supply of Whitman tins-I will let you know if she is able-the book"Sweet Stitches" by Sue Hillis is adorable and there are plenty of people looking for the tins...

It's Raining, it's pouring...

Hiya all! I have a feeling, after listening to the radio, that it is going to take a very long time to get home tonight-so I think I will stay put for a bit and catch up with you all--It poured here today and has made it steamy...but we are in for a break so hold on...

What a weekend it was...ever had one of those where all you do is run from one activity to another? There was no time to stitch-or sleep for that matter...and my pups were full of vinegar-they kept me busy-the boys were so goofy-from pulling the toilet paper off the roll while I was in the shower to pulling all of the puppy towels down the stairs while I was on the treadmill-Nemo decided to dump his ball on the treadmill too-so bad! But so cute-and sweet! Oh well...not going to wish his puppy hood away-it is gone all too quickly!

Starting to see more new creations which are not in the store yet but will be-Shepherd's Bush has four new kits, Bent Creek has Circus Row, Plum Street's Olga, Samsarah has two new ones( I love the one of the cow jumping over the moon-wouldn't this be a great birth announcement? I stitched the puppy one of this series and every time I see it it reminds me of my Oliver:) ), Crescent Colors has three new Halloween inspired colors due in this week, and Country Stitches/With Thy Needle & Thread has Candy Corn-an adorable candy corn shaped piece...

Well, I think I will head home-hope you all had a good weekend and had more time to relax than I did-UGH! Nikki- hope you are having a blast in LV!!

Well, it has been a fun day here-I worked on mail order today-thank you again to all that ordered during our Flyer's Sale-and thank you for your patience-we are still waiting on some items to arrive...Received a call from Amy-very sweet-and she told me about her pup, Pickles...thanks for your kind remarks, Amy!!

Then we had a visit from Nikki-she is a riot...have a great time in LV!! Hope your dad has a super B-day...

The above are new from Little by Little and by Norden-Kris' Stitches Vol III-proceeds benefit several Animal Protection organizations...this one is my favorite of the three out so far...

Hi all-It's Friday again and almost time for stitching-several can't make it due to games, graduations, weddings etc...lots going on this time of year-Usually it quiets down by now but the craziness continues...we are starting to see new things drift in from the market in Columbus-we are loving so many new things-the above are by Mirabilia, Rosewood Manor, Cherrywood Designs, Heartstring Samplery and Trail Creek farm. Bethie is working hard to get another newsletter out-she has been amazing-the office is all straightened up(even my area somehow looks neater) and now she is typing away...I started Quaker Sampler III by With My Needle-I'm stitching it over 1 on 28ct Sand Dune using mostly Black Coffee by Crescent with a bit of Weathered Barn by Gentle Arts in places..will get a pic of it up next week...will be working on it tonight!!

Well, I'm off to visit my dad this weekend-I so fortunate to have him and love getting a few days to spend with him-Having so many friends that have lost their dads I sincerely hope you are as lucky as me. Have a good weekend whatever you do and stay cool!

Hey all-Thanks to all that sent in suggestions on fox graphs-I am still seeing those beautiful creatures each morning-and sometimes on the last puppy walk too...

How are you all doing? Surviving what seems to be the warmest summer we've had in a while?? I've been slacking on the weeding and working on my stitching-I'm going to start Quaker Sampling III over one on 28 Lakeside Linen Sand Dune with Crescent Black Coffee and Gentle Art Weathered Barn as an accent color-the graph doesn't call for one but I'm doing my own thin'!

Beth and I are awaiting new goodies from the Columbus show-and trying to crank up our creative juices for future events-

To all that participated in our Flyer's sale-thank you, thank you, thank you!! It was fun and we are still working on getting things in and out!
