My Ten Projects

I'm still working out the kinks but have narrowed my list down to what I believe will be my ten projects! Thank you to all of you that left comments-it is interesting to hear what everyone is attempting-My buddy Beth has already dropped out before she has even gotten to "START"...I know she thinks me foolish, ridiculous, perhaps even delusional...but I am always up for something new...so here goes-it may change by tomorrow---

1. Sampler Roundy by Shakespeare's Peddler-to fit into the new round box we just received-so 28 over 1

2. A Bird in Hand by La D Da-We have this stitched as a model here at the shop-I am going to try a couple of different colors

3. To Everything by The Drawn Thread

4. Sewing Bird Pinkeep by WTN/CTS

5. Green Snowman by Shepherd's Bush

6. Tombstone Spots by Primitive Needle

7. Frosty Flakes by Little House

8.Scarlet's Christmas by Chessie and Me or another Chessie and me-The Perfect Tree-still deciding on this one!
9. Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow by Carriage House

10. Bit of Merriment by Erica Michaels

Well--now to put all of these fun projects together! Keep me posted on how your challenges progress-until we meet again, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas-make sure you take time for yourselves-
See you soon-xoxo Molly

Molly's Challenge

Okay, so I've heard about and read about lots of different stitching challenges-many too unstructured for the likes of me. So after much mulling and stewing I have created my own challenge-anyone up for it? Well, read on and try it out!
Pick 10 new projects for 2011-kit them up--get 'em ready! The first project I shall work on during days 1-3 of each month.
Project 2-Stitch days 4-6 of each month.
Project 3-Stitch days 7-9...
Project 4- days 10, 11 and 12.
ETC
So you see the pattern...now granted certain months (ie February) project 10 will get gypped--so project 10 should be an easy one...
Okay, now to pick 10 projects...I will be posting my list-let me know what challenges you are trying or what projects you are going to pick...or what you think of this idea!
Hope all is good with you all and hope you are not overdoing too much!
xoxo Molly

Christmas Week

Greetings, fellow stitchers! Well here we go on this quick slide towards Christmas-how fast the time is flying! I don't know about you but I still have quite a list and very little time left-yikes! And there is no way to hit the "HOLD" button for a bit more time! I did stop to make lace cookies (I know they only take a few ingredients, a quick set up and 7-10 minutes to bake)...I did get my tree up and decorated and did manage to place a few non-nostalgic ornaments down low-those little white fluffy boys have managed to only sniff these low hangers but there is mischief in their eyes. They are waiting for a distraction-a doorbell, an unbalanced load, a smoking oven....they know (as do I) that it is only a matter of time!
I also pulled out a bunch of my stitched Christmas pieces-how fun it is to see all of my old friends-I switch out everyday pictures for these Christmas ones-some I keep up all year long...
The above will be out from By The Bay-appropriately named "New England Winter"...
Well, I hope you are enjoying pieces of your holiday season-or chunks if you are so lucky! Take care and be good-Santa is watching!!
Molly
PS Thanks to all of you that came to stitching on Friday-it was a fun evening!!

Yahoo-Cliff Lee!

To all of my Phillies compadres-this is such a gift!! To have four fabulous pitchers under one rood-to have Cliff Lee back in Philly-we never wanted to see him go! For him to chose us over the NYY where he could have made more money!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Cliff!! You have made the unbearable cold weather bearable-you have given us a hop in our step! I have been wide awake since hearing the news at 6:15AM with hope for a season of entertainment!
For those that aren't sports phans I do hope you are enjoying this season of hope, joy and love-I am loving today!!

New from Annie Beez

Well hi all! The above will be coming from Annie Beez--cute for ornaments, huh? How are things going for you? I'm heading north this weekend for a Candlelight Celebration at Canterbury which is a Shaker Village in New Hampshire...it is a nice way to bring in the Christmas season...
I have two very dear friends that are each going through very dark days right now-during this season of lights, music and joy I don't know how they find the strength to get out of bed...to all of you, especially NC and SB I send out my love, prayers and hope for peace.
Until next week, have a good weekend!
Molly
PS If you are local there is a food drive at the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting-Camp Out for Hunger-they take non-perishable food items, pet food, cash donations or you can donate at your local Acme--it is a wonderful thing that the crew at WMMR are doing with Philabundance!
