I am looking for some feedback-We are thinking of carrying some different scissors as pictured here-would you buy them if they retailed for around $24.00 or have you already and you love or hate them...please let me know as I am sitting atop the fence right now!! Hope you're having a good day-we have the back door open enjoying a soft breeze-that is until the skys open up later as they are supposed to do--
:) Molly
Yes, carry them. Then when my family members come in to buy something for me, you have the perfect thing. Because you can't have enough scissors.
ReplyDeleteI think they're cute, but at that price, I'd have to think twice before indulging. I understand the pricing, but would be more inclined to throw a pair of Kelmscott scissors, which are a bit less expensive, into a basket for myself and buy them on a whim. The scissors in the pic are pretty, but I'd have to justify the expense to myself, or ask my family to get them for me as a gift. Why that line of thinking doesn't apply to fat quarters of linen, I don't know, but that's my $.02!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I would definitely buy a pair. I'm not sure if these are Gingher's but if they are they're GREAT and worth the $24. I had a pair and LOVED them. When I lost them I replaced with an inexpensive $8 copy-cat pair and they are horrible. So, I would definitely spend the $24 again and this time make a scissor fob ;-) Meredith

To me, scissors have only a utilitarian purpose -- they are sharp enough to cut whatever I'm using them for! I would not purchase scissors just because they are cute.
