New from Little House!

New from Little House due out soon-we here at the store love both but have a huge affinity towards the second-several of us have lost a beloved furry friend lately and the above piece pulls at our heartstrings! I am going to stitch it for my buddies Shelby and Oliver, two doggies that used to LOVE their walks together every morning. I lost Shel last July and Oliver this February and even writing this makes me teary....I will always miss them-they become such devoted companions...thank goodness I have Sammy and Miley...I never take any of my little buddies for granted as our pet's lives are too short.
There will be another new graph from Little House that is going to fabulous-it will be a larger design about reading and a library....check out what she has to say on her website and blog(www.littlehouseneedleworks.com with a link there to her blog)....
The weather here has been very warm-I flew back from NH last night into the storm-thought it would be cooler but I think we'll have to wait a bit for that!!
Take care-Molly

Stitching in the Ford (not the Chevy) 8/14/09

We, at The Strawberry Sampler, are starting something NEW! Starting Friday, September 18th, 2009 we are going to have an evening of stitching at the Chadd's Ford Historical Society (the Barn Visitor Center http://www.chaddsfordhistory.org/ see their website for driving directions-we will have them on-line as time grows closer)...We will try to do this one Friday evening every month--from 5:30PM to 10:00 PM...we will order pizza...bring anything else to drink (IE soda, water, no alcohol please), your stitching, a portable light, and your fun self...there is a fee to use the space (it is a donation to the Historical Society) ...so we will charge a fee to cover that and the pizza...$15.00. If we find in the ensuing months that we have more people thus more money we will adjust the fee accordingly. Please contact us to reserve a space or if you have any questions. We are looking forward to it-I already have about three-forty projects ready to bring!!! (SEE ABOVE!!) FYI Nicolle M. you are in charge of all games, decorations, and Beth wants sugar cookies!!! We hope to see you all there--Molly :)

08/12/09 JBW designs

Good morning-We had an order from a dear customer (thank you, Reda!) and it got me thinking-there are so many neat designs from Judy Whitman, aka JBW Designs...have you seen them? And there is potential in stitching companion pieces-that's what Reda is doing-she is stitching a bunch of smaller pillows of the "girly" designs-purses, shoes and hats! Very sweet!! And the two sets of trees at the top are brand new for '09...stitched over two or one--
The photo contest will begin soon-I have the camera poised and several projects are here and will be snapped today--keep checking back for more info--
Have a good day and stay cool-we only have a few more short weeks of this!! Molly

Correction

Greetings!! For those of you that have ordered this button pack and received the graph (and if you haven't you must-isn't it cute???!) we found out today that there is a typo on the graph...the fabric is supposed to be 30ct WDW Gunmetal, not Graphite...so make your corrections-we should be getting more Gunmetal this week-have fun stitching this--I hope there will be a "Girl one too!! I hope you're having a good day-we keep hearing commercials for "back to school"...cringing!! NOT YET!! Take care--Molly

Preview of Halloween Projects 8/10/09

I know so many of you love Halloween projects-I have found these two are on the drawing boards but not in shops yet-both will be popular...the Blackbird book of thirteen (lucky or what?) is in line with their stocking books they have for each month but there will be one specifically for October (so I understand)...as some of her graphs sell out and are not reprinted be sure to get one quickly...many more Halloween projects to come-be sure to check back frequently and look for my TSS match the project to the person contest!! Stay cool--Molly

Designs by Jane Wooster Scott

I know what you're thinking-lots of stitching , right? But take a look at these-they are gorgeous and have been very popular at the shop--My favorites have to be the Manhattan scene and the Nantucket scene...each one is chock full of scenery.
Have a great weekend-More on Monday!! Molly
