Gifts for stitchers (yourself included) and new punchneedle!

Good morning stitchers! The above cases and scissors just arrived-we have had the polka dot cases in brown and blue but now they are available in red, black and blue metallic check. Inside are magnets and bands to hold your scissors, needles, thread....they are $11.00 and well worth it-Also are these new "Candy"scissors in pink, blue and purple-they have a sheath and have great little cutting ability! And they're only $7.00-great for traveling-the sheath is fabulous too as you don't have to worry about impaling yourself, your doggie or your fabric!!
have seen some new Bent Creek patterns and the next in the Christmas Branch series-will now go on a hunt for pics to post-hope you have all of your groceries and your loved ones near...if you have to travel, be safe!! Happy Thanksgiving!! Molly

New from Lizzie Kate!

Good morning-in the midst of all of the planning for Thanksgiving I find myself hoping there is a big chunk of time that maybe I can stitch!! I have at least five pies (maybe six or seven-I can never narrow it down!!) and at least five batches of muffins to make tomorrow night-I set the kitchen up with a TV or boom box (so 90's!!) at one side...then I start, usually with the muffins and have a bakefest-I love it!! This will be Miley's first year-we'll see how he likes it!! It usually ceases by 11 or 12...with great smells and at least one flop of a pie!! :)
I am on the hunt for new stitching stuff-will post more later--hope you're looking forward to the next few days!! Molly

New Nora Corbett and Stitcherhood

Good afternoon on this most dreary day! Beth and I are dragging today! Yikes!! It's amazing how the weather affects my mood---I did hear from Sue Serio (Fox 29-my morning ritual is to watch while I put my makeup on, get dressed, play with the pups!!) that tomorrow is going to be better--and tomorrow night is stitching at the Ford, which will be a blast. Thanks to so many of you for calling in to say you'll be there.
Saturday night I will be at a benefit for a dear friend of mine-she lost her husband three years ago and is raising their seven children with lots of family help. The benefit is at the Washington Memorial Hall in Conshohocken-please let me know if you need more info.
I hope you are having a good day and looking forward to Thanksgiving next week!!
Til tomorrow-Molly

Good afternoon-I hope you're having a good day-I've had fun catching up with Barbara S, Sue M. , Becky K and Mary K. It's nice to see so many friends...so nice this time of year when wishing each other a "Happy Thanksgiving" is so heartfelt. Abby was here today for a couple of hours and it was great to see her, to catch up with her too. She's working on a design that promises to be exciting!!

The above designs are from Annie Beez and Country Cottage-they aren't at the shop yet but will be soon...

I'm starting to think about my traditional pie preparation that occurs next Wednesday-I am responsible for 5-6 pies... usually Pumpkin, Apple, Pecan, Chocolate, and Berry....last year I dropped the Pumpkin for Pumpkin Cheesecake and caught such grief...this year I might make something chocolate that's not pie-saw a recipe in a Cook's Country (if you've never seen this monthly take a look-it is fab!)...if anyone has a great Chocolate pie recipe of some other successful dessert let me know!!

More later-have a great afternoon!! Molly

Pink sky at night, I wasn't right!

Well, it has been anything but a sunny day here in New Hampshire-it has been pouring buckets of rain-I was soooo wrong about that pink sky last night-must have been hallucinating!!
Saw these two new designs from Little House-just wait 'til Beth sees the sailing one!!! Beth, I will have to stitch that to go along with my "Ship of Fools"!! Years ago I stitched a ship at sea from Need'l Love designs-the correct name was Ship of Life but of course we nicknamed it Ship of Fools-it one of my most favorite pieces that I have stitched-and my dear friend Abby framed it for me! So many memories!! Well, both of these designs are beautiful and will be most popular....Hope you all are not floating away nor are you baling water out of your basements or boats!! Molly

Yeah, it's Friday!! Hello all-here's hoping you have picked yourselves up from the loss and are as proud of our Phillies as I am!! It was a sad night but now there's less than 100 days 'til Spring training!! Now on to stitching--the above are from Notforgotten Farm, Jeanette Douglas, and Carousel Charts. I am anxiously awaiting the new Jenny Bean Christmas sampler-have run out of WDW Bark so my ABC Hornbook must wait 'til Monday (next shipment) and Jenny Bean Halloween will be started . [:) So to you all I say have a super weekend-enjoy a rain-free Saturday and a very sunny Sunday-I will be planting bulbs my mom sent in honor of my pup, Oliver, that I lost in February..it is a lovely tradition she started...in the Spring it is a nice chance to reminisce! Talk to you on Monday!! Molly
